And this is why I need a bigger car before we consider getting a third dog.

  1. I understand. At one time I had to German shepherds and a German shepherd/rottie mix — together about 210 pounds in dogs. All three would pile into the back of my Kia Sephia to drive through McDonalds for cheap cheeseburger night. It was hilarious (well, maybe not for the poor girl in the drive thru window). But for long trips we have to use the Expedition. Or if we want to take the human kids too . . .

  2. They just fit….you definitely need a bigger car if you get a third one! When we got up to four dogs, we got a bigger vehicle, a Pathfinder. It turned out to be bigger than what we needed, because the dogs all stayed right behind the front seat anyway! We now have a mid-sized SUV, and that is just right (plus it gets much better gas mileage).
